In the beautiful surroundings of Dilston Grove in Southwark Park, this FREE event features a number of musical performances, providing new and inventive sights & sounds in an unconventional, family-friendly environment. The focus of the festival is the fusion of choral and electronic music.

Musicians Jo Quail, Autorotation, Cajita and Alphabets Heaven will be joined by the members of Green Army Choir. Each performer will bring their unique, but accessible music to the stage. Visuals will be provided by the London-based VJ Craig Yamey, while the musical segues will be supplied by DJs The Soap Company and Scaramanga Silk.

Curated by Deptford’s electro-acoustic act Autorotation, this micro-festival will create an experience that is original, diverse & interesting – an afternoon that will stimulate many senses.

Following the success of the last year’s edition, the festival this time focuses on combining the classical choral tradition with underground electronic, folk and post-rock music. This presents an opportunity for the composers and songwriters to write for the choir – an artistic challenge the results of which will be simultaneously experimental, traditional, exotic, melodic and highly approachable.

Dilston Grove, with its bare reverberant concrete walls and epic scale, provides a great backdrop for the music performance and is also an inviting canvas for the visual artists who use film and projections synched to the live music.

This Micro-Festival is free to attend and open to everyone.
